Room 2,3,4 Camp Congratulations!
All our camp teams were fabulous, but these special individuals require a mention! Our winning team at camp were 'Ma' group - Teokiwa, Piri, Katelyn, Phoenix, Matthew, Madison, Olivia, and Lincon. They demonstrated great teamwork and cooperation in all activities.
We also gave nine individuals a certificate to recognise their extra effort, resilience, or bravery at our camp. Check them out in the photo below.

Camp Ohiwa - Rooms 2,3,4
We had a fabulous camp at Ohiwa. The children loved the variety of activities at the beach and harbour, and participated brilliantly in the team challenges. You guys were awesome! Thank you to our fantastic parent helpers. We could not have done it without you!

Camp Reminders
Remember we have our camp meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday 4th) in the lecture theatre. It starts at 5.30 pm.
CLOTHING - Enough comfortable clean clothes to last for
2 days (Excluding what they wear on the first day)
SMALL DAY BAG
CONTAINING:
BAKING /
FRUIT –Children in Rooms 4 and 5 are asked to bring a small bag of fruit.
Children from all other classes can bring one item of baking for morning and
afternoon teas. Please be aware that we have children with severe peanut

provide baking specifically for a child with allergies, please label this

Children's Day
It was children's day on Sunday. It was fabulous to see so many Apanui children enjoying the family day at Rex Morpeth Park.
Hiwi The Kiwi
Mark de Lacy came to Apanui School on Wednesday. He is also known as "The Minstrel" . His show 'Hiwi the Kiwi' is already well known to a generation of Kiwi school children. He has created a fun way of teaching the children of New Zealand about our fishery and the marine environment, and encourages the young people of today to participate in fishing and to enjoy the many opportunities that we are privileged to have in New Zealand. You can find out more by visiting is website http://www.hiwithekiwi.co.nz/
