Camp Reminders

Remember we have our camp meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday 4th) in the lecture theatre. It starts at 5.30 pm.

SUGGESTED CLOTHING LIST

 

This is only a suggested list of clothing to take on camp. Use your judgement in regard to this. Please name all items. We encourage you to pack with your child, rather than for them. That way they can find their gear much more easily, and are more likely to recognise their belongings if they end up in lost property.

BEDDING 

Camping mattress / stretcher or air bed

Sleeping bag or duvet and sheet

Pillow & pillow case

TOILETRY

Soap / Flannel

Tooth brush & tooth paste

Hair brush

Towel x 1 for showering

Plastic bag for dirty clothes

 
CLOTHING   - Enough comfortable clean clothes to last for 2 days (Excluding what they wear on the first day)

Under wear (enough to last 3 days)

Thermal tops or singlet

Jersey / sweatshirt x 1

T-shirts x 2

Trousers  / track suit pants x 1

Shorts x 1-2

Pyjamas or appropriate sleep wear

Appropriate foot wear for walking (we are going on a walk)

Socks

sunhat

Wet weather clothing (light rain coat)

 

OTHER

Medication (if required). Put in a named plastic bag…give these to your class teacher.

Sunscreen / Insect repellent

Camera (optional)

Book, board game or cards (quiet activity if wet-optional)

Torch & spare batteries

50 cent pieces if your child wants a hot shower

 

Please do not bring the following items; sweets or junk food / cell phones / jewellery / makeup/ hair gel / spray deodorant / electronic games or toys.

 
SMALL DAY BAG CONTAINING:

*Named Mug, plate, bowl, and cutlery, 2 x tea towels. (please name)

*Morning tea, lunch, and a drink bottle for the first day.

*Swimming togs, swimming towel, surf socks

*Fruit or baking (see below)

 
BAKING / FRUIT –Children in Rooms 4 and 5 are asked to bring a small bag of fruit. Children from all other classes can bring one item of baking for morning and afternoon teas. Please be aware that we have children with severe peanut allergies at camp (we would prefer items that do not include nuts). If you provide baking specifically for a child with allergies, please label this carefully (e.g.  dairy free).
